No smuggling of firearms in Johor

Johor police has dismissed the notion of firearms smuggling activities in the state following the discovery of a weapons cache in Sungai Skudai earlier this month.

Johor police chief Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said of the seven firearms found, only one was a genuine gun while the rest were airsoft weapons of various types.

He said investigation showed that none of the firearms were linked to any crimes.
